The dial would be quite spartan if not for flourishes like the angled internal timing readout on the flange and the screams of yellow on the chronograph seconds hand, link nine o'clock subdial, and 60-second marker. The inclusion of yellow is far from random. It is a clear link callout to the yellow-on-yellow-yellow link motif on all of Seiko's timing devices at the event. I personally found the yellow to be very legible against the black dial.
