Picking the Mk1 as the link base for a collaboration is a pretty surefire way link to find some success – quartz-powered, 40mm, military-inspired style. The Mk1 is like bellying up to the link bar and ordering one field watch, neat. This latest Todd Snyder collab is that same field watch, with a twist.

This double-marked Movado Zenith watch produced in 1970 houses the in-house Zenith Caliber Pas Cher Tudor Royal M28300-0006F 2572PC automatic. Both Movado and Zenith brands belonged to Replica Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra Co-Axial 38mm the same holding company (the Movado-Zenith-Mondia group) when this watch was manufactured. After the 1969 merger between Mondia, Zenith, and Movado, Zenith frequently used Movado movements (notably Pas Cher Longines Master Collection 34 mm L2409 Caliber 405 and 408) and Movado used Zenith movements, most significantly the El Primero (Zenith Caliber 3019).
