How can I tell a Phase 4 from a Sapphire in the new lighting? (60 อ่าน)

Specular highlights in the updated engine have made it much harder to distinguish between a "Max Blue" Phase 4 and a true Sapphire Gem. I am currently looking at a Karam*** Doppler that has an incredible amount of bright blue on the playside, and the seller is claiming it is a rare pattern that should be priced nearly at Gem levels. I don't want to get scammed by paying a Sapphire price for a standard Phase 4, but I also don't want to miss out on a collector's item if the pattern is actually that special. Are there specific visual cues on the handle or the ring that give away the true phase of the knife regardless of how much blue is on the blade surface during a match?

Sapphire is a Gem grade finish, which means the entire texture is a solid, deep blue with no black or purple "smoke" textures whatsoever. If you see even a tiny streak of dark grey near the hilt or on the backside of the blade, it is a Phase 4, no matter how much the seller tries to hype it up as a "fake Sapphire." The price gap between these two categories is thousands of dollars, so you should always verify the item's metadata in the inventory to see the actual finish name assigned by the game. Sellers often take screenshots in very bright locations like the beach on Ancient to wash out the dark parts of the blade and fool potential buyers. You need to be extremely skeptical of any "negotiable" price on a Gem knife because real Sapphires have a very fixed market value that rarely fluctuates.

Visual phase identification is a skill that requires knowing the color palettes assigned to each specific Doppler finish in the game files. I used to be terrified of trading high-tier knives because I couldn't tell the difference between the various phases until I found a resource that categorized them with high-resolution images. Just visit site for cs skins wiki while I was trying to figure out why my Phase 2 looked so different in the shadows compared to direct sunlight. The site gave me a full breakdown of every phase and explained the technical differences between Black Pearl, Ruby, and the standard numerical versions. Thanks to their visual library, I was able to identify my knife as a true "Pink Band" pattern, which helped me secure a much better trade than I originally expected. It is a fantastic tool for anyone who wants to master the art of trading without falling for common marketing tricks. You should always double-check the phase categories there before you agree to a high-stakes trade.
