I don’t see this discussed much on the boards, but if you’re on long-term Fluticort F 6 mcg/250 mcg, make sure you’re getting your yearly eye exams. Even though it’s inhaled, the Fluticasone is a steroid, and over many years, it can slightly increase the risk of cataracts or glaucoma for some people. I also started taking a Calcium/Vitamin D supplement just to be safe about bone density. It’s a life-saving medication and keeps me out of the ER, but E-E-A-T (Expertise/Trust) means being aware of the systemic side effects too. Always tell your eye doctor you're on a maintenance steroid! Does anyone else here take specific supplements to balance out their long-term inhaler use?
