MMOexp ARC Raiders: Gear Up for the Trek (3 views)

11 Nov 2025 10:53

The Power Out quest is one of the simpler missions in ARC Raiders when it comes to objectives, but don't let that fool you. The Spaceport region can be sprawling, and the distance to ARCR Coins the Electrical Substation alone can make things tense - especially if you spawn far to the north.

Your main goal is to restore power to the Electrical Substation, which involves investigating the area, recovering a missing engineer's item, and reactivating an electrical box. You won't need to extract to complete the quest, but you'll likely have to make a long and hazardous journey to and from the southern area of the map.

Preparation: Gear Up for the Trek

While Power Out doesn't throw a complex puzzle or boss fight your way, the trip to the objective can be unpredictable. You'll need to travel through potentially contested zones, so preparation is key.

Here's what you should bring before heading out:

A strong combat augment – Choose one that enhances mobility or damage resistance. The southern Spaceport isn't too hostile, but you never know when another raider squad might appear.

A reliable weapon and shield – Equip a mid-to-long range firearm for open encounters. A solid shield can save you from ambushes when moving through open ground.

Plenty of ammo and healing supplies – You'll likely have to fight or at least fend off a few enemies along the way, and the long distance means you won't want to backtrack for supplies.

A light inventory – You don't need to collect or carry many ARC Raiders Items for this mission. Travel light so you can move quickly and dodge more easily if you're attacked.

When you're ready, it's time to begin your journey south.

Finding the Electrical Substation

The Electrical Substation is located at the southernmost end of the Spaceport map. Depending on your spawn point, reaching it might take several minutes of running or gliding through scattered enemy zones.

Keep your eyes open for landmarks - the Spaceport area has large industrial structures and broken cranes that can help orient you. The further south you go, the quieter the area tends to become, though you might still encounter small patrols or environmental hazards.

Once you arrive, the quest will automatically update with a new objective: "Find signs of the missing engineer." This is your cue that you're in the right location.

Investigating the Missing Engineer

From where you enter the substation area, look around for an electrical box - it should be attached to a structure with visible wires and panels. This box will be the central focus of your task.

When facing the electrical box, turn to your left and you'll notice a small engineer's bag lying in the sand just a few steps away. Approach and interact with it. Inside, you'll find a key item needed to restore power - typically a fuse or tool component related to the substation.

Once you've collected the engineer's item, return to the electrical box.

Restoring Power

Now that you've got the necessary component, it's time to bring the lights back on.

Interact with the electrical box to place the item you found inside.

Once placed, you'll be prompted to activate the power. Confirm the action.

The substation will hum back to life, and you'll receive a confirmation message marking the quest as complete.

This moment also gives you a brief chance to look around the area - you'll notice lights flicker on and systems reboot, adding a*** touch of immersion to the quest's completion.

Mission Complete – Now for Extraction

With the Power Out quest complete, your next step is to get to safety. While you technically don't need to extract for the mission to count as finished, it's still a***d idea to secure your progress and loot.

Since you're at the far south of the Spaceport, the closest elevators are quite a distance away. You have two main options for extraction:

South Elevator (northwest of your position): The safer option if you want to avoid the busier eastern routes.

East Elevator (northeast of your position): A more direct but potentially riskier path if other players or enemy patrols are active.

Before you start the long hike, take a moment to reload, heal up, and check your surroundings. If you've drawn attention from nearby enemies, clear them out or move stealthily to avoid unnecessary combat. The terrain around the substation is open, so make use of cover and avoid running in straight lines to reduce the risk of sniper fire or ambushes.

Tips for a Smooth Run

To make your Power Out run efficiently and safely, keep these tips in mind:

Plan your route early. Check your map as soon as you spawn to determine the best path south. Avoid high-traffic combat zones if possible.

Use terrain to your advantage. Hills, dunes, and wreckage offer***d cover if you're spotted by raiders or automated ARC enemies.

Don't linger at the objective. Once the power is back on, you've got what you came for. The substation doesn't offer much loot, so move out quickly.

Stick to one extraction route. Changing direction mid-route can waste time and resources. Commit to either the South or East Elevator and go for it.

Why Power Out Matters

Although Power Out is considered one of the simpler side quests in ARC Raiders, it introduces key mechanics that prepare you for more advanced missions. It teaches you how to investigate objectives, interact with environmental components, and navigate the vast open-world map efficiently.

Completing it also contributes to your overall reputation and progression, unlocking access to follow-up missions that expand on the Spaceport's storylines and resource systems.

Final Thoughts

The Power Out quest is a short but satisfying mission that tests your navigation and survival instincts more than your combat skills. While it may not yield massive rewards, it's a great way to buy ARCR Coins get familiar with the southern Spaceport and practice moving efficiently across long distances.
