How do you find someone with similar relationship goals? (32 views)

I think this is one of those things that is better to discuss sooner rather than later. People can have very different ideas about what they want from dating. One person may simply want to meet new people and see what happens, while another may already be hoping to build a serious relationship. Neither approach is wrong, but problems can appear when both people assume they want the same thing without actually talking about it.

I don't think the first conversation needs to become a serious discussion about the future. Still, I like to get some idea of what the other person is looking for. Even casual questions about dating, relationships or future plans can reveal whether our expectations are reasonably close. I also think it's important to listen rather than trying to convince someone to want the same thing as you.

When meeting people throughhttps://dilmil.co/ , I'd pay attention to how openly someone describes their intentions. If I'm looking for a long-term partner, I would rather know that another person wants something completely different than spend weeks hoping they will eventually change their mind. At the same time, I wouldn't reject someone just because they don't have a perfectly defined plan. People can discover what they want while getting to know each other. For me, the important part is honesty and respect. If both people are comfortable discussing their expectations without putting pressure on each other, that's already a***d foundation. Finding the right person isn't only about attraction; it is also about wanting a similar kind of relationship.
