Is the GeForce RTX 6090 Worth Waiting For? (163 views)

With so many rumors and leaks about the GeForce RTX 6090, I'm wondering what everyone's expectations are.

Do you think it will deliver a significant performance jump for gaming, or will its biggest advantages be in AI and content creation workloads? Also, would you consider upgrading to it when it becomes available?

I'd love to hear your thoughts.

The GeForce RTX 6090 looks promising, but I think its biggest gains may be for AI and professional workloads. For gaming, it’ll probably be incredibly powerful, though the price could make it hard to justify for most people.

For gamers, the answer probably depends on what you're playing right now. If your current setup already handles modern games well, waiting for the RTX 6090 could make sense for the extra performance and future-proofing. Personally, I spend more time on strategy and base-building games than graphics-heavy titles, and communities around games like Clash of Clans are still very active. I often check for gaming-related guides and updates here. What GPU are most people here currently using?

For people focused on modern AAA games, waiting for the RTX 6090 might be worth it. On the other hand, retro gaming and emulation don't always require the latest hardware. I've found that proper emulator setup matters more than raw GPU power, and resources like https://ps2biosonline.com/ can be helpful for PlayStation 2 emulation. What kind of games are most people planning to play if they upgrade?

If you're mainly playing at 1080p or 1440p, I'd probably wait for real benchmarks before upgrading. A faster GPU only makes a noticeable difference if the rest of the system can keep up. I also compare performance across different game versions before upgrading hardware, since optimization matters just as much. Some examples and gameplay notes can be found here, where older versions are discussed. It would be interesting to see how the RTX 6090 performs once independent reviews are available.

I’d probably wait for independent benchmarks before deciding. A new GPU can look impressive on paper, but real-world gaming performance, power consumption, pricing, and availability will matter more. For anyone comparing future hardware options, this gaming setup information may also be useful visit here.
