Destiny 2: Xur Exotic Armor, Weapons, and May 5th Recommendations (205 views)

6 May 2023 15:08

In Destiny 2, Xur is back and giving players access to new, exotic Legendary armor for a limited time. This week saw the start of the Guardian Games in Destiny 2, which brought back Olympic-inspired competitions with each class vying for gold to determine who will rule supreme the next year. It's still early, but the Titans are off to a great start, perhaps as a result of players coming together to pay tribute to Lance Reddick, who played Zavala's voice actor. In the game, players can gather enough Destiny 2 Silver.

Meanwhile, Bungie has also been slowly teasing season 21, with the latest season showing what appears to be an image of Sloane, an NPC who was thought missing when Saturn's moon Titan disappeared into darkness before Beyond Light . New details have also emerged about upcoming changes to Destiny 2 superheroes and abilities in Season 21, some of which Bungie chose to enhance, especially those that have been underutilized of late.

For now, Weekend Merchant Xur has returned to the world of Destiny 2. Follow this guide to find out about his latest weekend locations, news about his Strange Code quest, and a recap of all the Strange and Legendary gear he's bringing to the weekend of May 5, 2023.

where is hul?

During this weekend, players should head to the Warden's Graveyard on Nessus and find the Merchant in the large tree behind the area.

Go to Nessus from Director and load Watcher's Grave. Run to the back of the area where you found a large tree. Jump up until the player finds the huge branch where the merchant hangs out.

Class Armor and Exotic Codes

Xur's character continues to offer the usual weekly quests, exotic items, and legendary gear. Not only do these quests require purchasing a second Fated Engram, but they also require retrieving legacy Exotics from the Tower kiosk. Players can earn new codes by completing hits and winning Crucible or Gam*** matches. Earn bonus points for playing with clan mates or completing more challenging activities.

Xur continues to sell more gear than his usual content. In addition to his normal exotic gear, Xur can now sell Legendary weapons and armor in exchange for Legendary Shards and Glimmer.

Phoenix Protocol - Warlock Breastplate

This week, Phoenix Protocol for solar returns with Xur. Battle-Hearth rewards Dawnblade Warlocks with Super Power for any kills or assists they make while standing inside the Well of Radiance.

While certainly not exotic at this point, Phoenix does have its uses for Ultra Generations, and might be worth a look for something high-end like Grandmaster Nightfalls. However, Phoenix Protocol is definitely worth a shot this week, as the stats are very high, with an overall score of 67 and an intelligence of 23.

Stats (67 in total):

Mobility +15

Toughness +8

recovery +11

Discipline +8

Intelligence +23

Strength +2

Ophidia Spathe - Hunter's Breastplate

The Ophidia Spathe is equipped with scissor fingers, allowing hunters to gain two throwing knives per charge instead of the typical one.

For those who like to play the gunslinger subclass, Femme Bud synergizes particularly well with Way of the Thousand Slashes and Gambler's Dodge. It essentially allows players to throw knives almost continuously. This week's results are actually pretty***d, with an overall score of 65 with high mobility, recovery and strength, which again is***d for melee combat.

Stats (total 65):

Mobility +15

Toughness +2

Recovery +17

Discipline +2

Intelligence +13

Strength +16

Eternal Warrior - Titan Helmet

The Eternal Warrior helmet for Striker Titans returns this weekend. Its inherent perk Resolute grants the player a super shield after activating Fists of Havoc. While it looks like a cool exotic item, its abilities really aren't as impactful as the other items available to Titans. Shields always help, but it's unlikely to turn the tide in any significant way.

While the Exotic is unspectacular, another problem is that it has a rather low roll rate of 61, and the problem with the top stat is mobility. So, this is an item that Titans players can skip.

Statistics (61 total):

Mobility +16

Toughness +4

recovery +10

Discipline +6

Intelligence +13

Strength +12

exotic weapon

Back, here we go again! The Queenbreaker Heavy Linear Fusion Rifle has been around a lot in 2023, and hasn't changed much since it last arrived in late March. It allows players to choose how they want their guns to fire. With the Marksman Scope, players can use a remote scope to stack bonus damage while displaying ammo and charges. The tradeoff is that the gun takes longer to fully charge before firing. Combat scopes allow for faster charging and better handling, though they can't zoom in as far.

The exotic version of this weapon is called the Wire Rifle, and it fires long-range precision Arc bolts that blind enemies when they hit them. Players can also change its line of sight, which affects recharge time and damage. It's a somewhat tricky weapon, so it won't be for everyone. However, those who give it a chance will find it very useful in the right situation, even if it requires heavy ammo.
