Why haven’t Web3 games gone mainstream yet? (25 views)

I should say right away that I’m not really a gaming expert, and honestly I’d struggle to explain what Web3 games even are myself. But I used to read a lot about them before, and now they completely disappeared from my radar. Are they just not in demand anymore?

Every game has its own audience, I think. Honestly, everything has its own audience. First there was hype, then it died down, and now mostly fans still play these games. That’s usually how it goes.

Because they’re boring. All these tokens and earning systems for who knows what are complicated and far from regular players. At the same time, the games themselves, or at least most of them, are clearly worse than regular games in terms of gameplay and content quality. Take esports for example, there are entire platforms like https://zero1gaming.com/ dedicated to streams. That’s interesting, those are understandable games, there are teams, viewers can support them, the rewards are understandable too, that’s why it’s popular.
