Landfall Island Wildlife Sanctuary: Complete Travel Guide & Visitor Tips (26 views)

24 Jul 2026 12:04

Anyone actually been to Landfall Island Wildlife Sanctuary? I've done Havelock and Neil Island multiple times now and honestly feel like I've "seen" the Andamans in the conventional sense — beaches, water sports, the usual circuit. Looking for something more remote for my next trip, and this keeps coming up as one of the few genuinely untouched spots left in the archipelago. From what I've read, it's tucked away at the northern tip near Diglipur, with dense tropical forest, secluded beaches, and bird species that apparently aren't found on the more visited islands.

The catch seems to be getting there — no regular ferry service, so it looks like you need to charter a boat and possibly coordinate with a local operator who understands current permits and sea conditions. That alone is making me hesitate a ***, since I don't want to show up in North Andaman and find out access isn't happening that week. Found a fairly detailed guide on Landfall Island Wildlife Sanctuary covering the best time to visit, how to reach it, and what wildlife to expect — but would still love to hear from anyone who's actually pulled this trip off, especially solo or in a small group.
