I recently got a new puppy, and I’m super excited to take them outside for walks and playtime. However, I’ve heard mixed opinions on when it’s safe to let puppies go outside. Some people say it’s okay after a few weeks, while others suggest waiting until all vaccinations are complete.

So, I wanted to ask—when can puppies go outside safely?

Here are a few things I’ve learned so far:
✔️ Puppies should get their first set of vaccinations around 6–8 weeks old.
✔️ They usually need a few more rounds, with the final set given around 16 weeks.
✔️ Until they’re fully vaccinated, they might be at risk of diseases like parvo and distemper.
✔️ Some vets recommend carrying your pup in safe places before they’re fully vaccinated to help with socialization.

What’s your experience? When did you first take your puppy outside? Any tips for making their first outdoor adventure fun and safe? Would love to hear from you all!

Let’s discuss!
